Steep Canyon Rangers, a band with a journey uniquely their own, brings together a blend of talent and passion for bluegrass music.
Originating from UNC-Chapel Hill, the Steep Canyon Rangers embarked on their musical odyssey by immersing themselves in the traditional bluegrass scene. Over the years, they ascended to the forefront of the genre, headlining prestigious festivals like Merlefest and Grey Fox Bluegrass. Their journey took a new turn when they caught the attention of Steve Martin, the acclaimed actor and banjo player.
