Spring showcase aims to raise arts awareness on campus

On April 15, Emory Arts Underground hosts its third annual spring showcase, featuring works by more than 65 student artists. The EAUbs mission is to draw attention to the thriving, albeit somewhat under the radar, community of artists who live and work on Emorybs campus. The university cut funding to its arts programs in 2014, but through efforts such as The Revival, the organization hopes to foster an environment that the schoolbs administration will recognize as a viable asset, worthy of funding and support. This yearbs showcase features various visual artists showing off painting, photography, sculpture, and drawing, along with spoken-word performances, including poetry by Kira Tucker and musical performances from young trio Sound & Color, composer Sam Edwards, and more.

Free. 6:30-10 p.m. Emory Cox Hall Ballroom, 569 Asbury Circle.
