‘Blair Witch-esque’ tapes discovered in metro Atlanta
Atlanta Redditor and Geocache enthusiast stumbles upon some creepy footage
I guess we’re kicking off the day with a theme: Unnerving.
A thread of posts on Atlanta’s Reddit page has perplexed web-surfers. It began with a peculiar posting that merely contained the coordinates of a location in Marietta. One user, /r/hockeylovinguy, scoped out the mystery point on his way to work. He found a few VHS tapes. What he discovered on those tapes is unsettling, to say the least.
“It’s got a creepy low quality ‘Blair Witch’ type quality to it,” he wrote. “It shows a locksmith going to a house, and changing a house lock. Then he goes home and makes a crude mannequin to look like the homeowner. It then cuts to him driving down her street, then cuts to him watching a news report about a missing woman.”
He turned his findings over to Cobb County Police.
