Tiny art at Summer ICE

Indie Craft Experience partners with Tiny Doors ATL for live tiny garden workshop

Founded by Atlanta natives Shannon Mulkey and Christy Petterson, ICE’s commitment to showcasing and celebrating craft and vintage sellers stems from Mulkey and Petterson’s passion for educating shoppers about the ethics and advantages of buying handcrafted items. ======

This year, Summer ICE will feature more than 90 local and national craft and vintage vendors, accompanied by local food offerings and music by DJ Zano. Beyond celebrating handcraft consumerism, Mulkey and Petterson also encourage attendees to become crafters themselves, and have partnered with Tiny Doors ATL’s Karen Anderson to host a workshop on creating a living tiny garden. For $35, attendees will have the chance to create their own unique tiny garden using succulents, mosses and scale-model miniatures.

ICE and Tiny Doors ATL’s partnership comes at no surprise. Like ICE, Tiny Doors ATL was founded on a similar mission to showcase and share art - in Tiny Doors ATL’s case, art unique to the city of Atlanta. Dedicated to making art free and accessible to all, Tiny Doors ATL’s mission is to inspire curiosity and exploration through art installations throughout Atlanta’s landmarks and neighborhoods.
