Quick Bites: Breakers Korean BBQ expands, TGM Bread update, and more

Simone’s, a Caribbean concept focused on family recipes and traditional American deli fare, will open at 4469 Glenwood Road in Decatur’s Candler-McAfee neighborhood, according to What Now Atlanta. Owner Michelle Bennett said the restaurant will open “sometime in February.”

Quick service Korean BBQ resto Seoul K BBQ Breakers Express will open two new locations in Greenbriar Crossing (3030 Headland Drive S.W.) and in West End at 848 Oak St. S.W., according to What Now Atlanta. The Greenbriar Crossing location is slated to open this Saturday, Jan. 16. The new spots will have more healthy options on their menu compared to existing locations as well as the Breakers Express Bulgogi burger.

Star Provisions now serves breakfast from 8 a.m. till 6 p.m., when the counter closes. Breakfast options include bacon, fried egg, and cheddar sandwiches; smoked salmon bagels; broccoli, goat cheese, and caper frittatas; and butter and chocolate croissants.

The Atlanta Winter Beer Fest returns for a sixth year on Saturday, Jan. 30 at The Masquerade. The venue’s music park is closed for construction, so the party will move indoors and under a large, heated tent in two sessions: 1 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 11 p.m.

TGM Bread, previously known as TGM Bakery, is not only open, but is also planning a lunchtime pop-up with soup and grilled-cheese sandwiches as well as a retail element beginning as early as next week.
