MINT rolls out its annual, pocket-sized show

Scope and shop small-scale art at MINT this weekend.

?
?MINT’s Poncey-Highland walls look downright wallpapered in small scales unique works of art in their annual postcard pin-up show. The event draws interest and contributions from both veteran ATL art scene folks and novice crafters itching to create. A mix of mediums, subject matter, and names — ranging from Ashley Anderson to Joshua Jarrett to Lydia Day to Sean Kauzmann (above) — make the spread all the more intriguing. It’s a fun show to see, sure, but it’s also a fun show to shop. Each of the individual pieces go for $50 and under. As folks purchase pieces, the good people at MINT continue filling holes with the heaps of work they keep stowed in the proverbial wings. During the soft-opening media night Thursday, MINT’s Executive Director Erica Jamison guessed there were close to 700 additional artworks waiting to go up later. Talk about a killer opportunity to simultaneously shop local, support the arts, and do serious damage on your holiday gift list.
