The owners of Sweet Hut Bakery have filed paperwork to open their newest metro location at Lenox Square Mall. Sweet Hut, a Korean restaurant and bakery, currently operates in Midtown and on Buford Highway.Atlanta’s pastry community has rallied behind Planned Parenthood Southeast. Chefs and bakers from 8ARM, Aria, Leon’s Full Service, Little Tart Bakeshop, Miller Union, Proof Bakeshop and 15 other local establishments are selling boxes of cookies for Cookie Grab ATL, a $50 gift box of 21 fresh cookies will all proceeds benefitting Planned Parenthood Southeast. Boxes are available for pre-order until Feb. 28.Ray’s Rio Bravo closed on Feb. 15, according to Eater. Ray Schoenbaum originally launched the Tex-Mex concept in 1989 but closed all locations in 2002. The recently shuttered Sandy Springs restaurant opened in August 2015 after Schoenbaum decided to revive the brand.Laughing Skull is releasing its newest brew, Laughing Skull White Ale, a Belgian-style beer. Originally create for the company’s South Korean distributor, the brew was so well liked they began pouring it at the brewery in June 2016. White Ale will be available year-round beginning at the end of this month.The first three episodes of chef Meherwan Irani’s Cutting Chai documentary are now available to stream online. The Chai Pani owner travels to 10 Indian cities in 11 days, detailing the country’s influence on his cuisine. Parts four through 10 of Cutting Chai will roll out through the beginning of March.
